The ISABELLA WATSON 1845

departed from London on December 17th, and Plymouth on December 21st, 1844.
They made the run round the Cape on 42 days. Captain John Henderson declared that, but for the contrary winds, they would have arrived three weeks earlier.
The "Isabella Watson" arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia on April 3rd, 1845.

This voyage was the first with assisted migrants to be despatched after the resumption of the scheme that had been suspended in mid 1840.
But for the contrary winds the Captain calculates that he should have arrived in Adelaide 3 weeks earlier.
ISABELLA WATSON bring 119 Commissionere's emigrants, chiefly from Devon and Cornwall.
She also brought 5 extra passengers, 3 of whom will stay on in Adelaide. The voyage has been a pleasant one and all are well.
