About this site

Encounter 1802-2002: celebrating Flinders' and Baudin's expeditions in search of the 'unknown' southern coast of Australia celebrates the achievements of these epic voyages, and focusses on the sections of their expeditions in the region which later became known as South Australia.

This site contains digitised extracts from materials held in the State Library of South Australia and the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia's collections. It also features images supplied by other organisations of material held in Library collections.
