![]() Mr Henry Watson of Chichester, as Agent for the Colonization Commissioners for South Australia selected a number of families worthy of coming to South Australia. This list was confirmed by John Brown, the official Immigration Officer for South Australia, appointed to assist new settlers with employment. This Statement of Emigrants selected by Henry Watson also lists the family Eldridge who were onboard the HENRY PORCHER which came to SA in 1838. John Brown records show that William Eldridge jnr is also included as excepted, as he died on the voyage. ![]() ![]()
