Return Home

There is no official passenger list. Because the actual emigration was delayed for some time in Hamburg, during which time some families withdrew
whilst others joined, and because Iwan's information on the people who left Posen is sketchy, there is more uncertainty in this list.

The late Dr Brauer compiled his list from the material available [old records, memo books, diaries, letters, pamphlets, death announcements, entries in old Bibles, etc.]
and also from information gathered personally from a number of pioneers who were passengers.
His list appeared in THE AUSTRALIAN LUTHERAN on February 12, 1964.
The following is based on Braeur's early list, Wittwer's revision [in the Gallasch family history], and the lists by Iwan.
