LETTER OF APPRECIATION: To Captain William H. Williams of the ship OREGON, October 30th, 1851.
HONOURED SIR - We the UNDERSIGNED, in consequence of the uniform kindness and condescension manifested towards us,
as also the good order and regularity which your tact, justice and decision as preserved during the journey
from Plymouth to Adelaide,

We hereby wish to return you our sincere thanks for the same. We would also espress our entire satisfaction
with the regularity and equity maintained in the daily issue of provisions, likewise the quality of the same.
Nor can we here omit to mention your kindness in giving us the use of the school-room each night to all
who wished to attend for prayer and the reading of the Sacred Scriptures; in short, we feel we have
been priviledged, preserved and care for, not only in a temperal but also in a moral and spiritual sense,
beyond our most sangune expectations.
