State Library of South Australia

Early Learning | kindy to year 2

Designed for students in kindergarten through to year 2

Learning programs at the State Library are designed to be linked to key learning outcomes and complement the current Australian Curriculum. These programs have been created to connect learners with the rich history, collections, spaces and exhibitions of the State Library of South Australia.

Students will discover the stories of South Australia and the role of the State Library in collecting, preserving and sharing the history of South Australia and develop important life skills or research, inquiry and analysis techniques using a variety of sources.

Special note for Term 4

In Term 4 2018 we are hosting the international exhibition, One mountain, one river, one sage: Treasures from the Shandong Library. It is the first time these rare pieces have been displayed outside of China.

As this is a unique exhibition, the Community Learning Team will focus all their efforts during Term 4 on curriculum aligned programs which complement the Exhibition. The programs will be for years 5, 6 and 7.

Our regular programs will resume in 2019.
