Note: Free, bookings essential, school groups

Mortlock Wing of the State Library of South Australia

Learn more about the Library by choosing components that best suit your class learning requirements.

Suitability: years 8 to 12, Tertiary, TAFE & community groups
up to 90 minutes
Days: Monday to Friday
Capacity: up to 30 students/ people
Supervision: 1:15 (secondary students)
Facilitator: Education Librarian

Tell us what you'd like to know about the State Library?

Choose from the options below to introduce your students to the State Library services, resources and collections. Each program will include a tour of Mortlock Wing (where possible), a demonstration of the library's discovery system, and a walk around the library.

  • Orientation to the Library's spaces, services and resources
  • South Australian historical resources (diaries, letters, photographs and newspapers)
  • eResources (databases and eBooks)
  • English Language Learning Improvement Service (ELLIS)
  • Family History

If you have a community group that wishes to look at a specific subject, this is for you.
