Where's the evidence? Think like a Scientist (Opportunity 1)

Think like a scientist. Interpret, analyse, interpret and draw conclusions.

Suitable for: Years 8-10 classes
Days: Monday - Friday
up to 90 minutes
Capacity: Class of 30 students maximum
Supervision: 1:6
Cost: free
Facilitator: Community Learning Librarian

Using State Library data and resources, students will begin to learn scientific inquiry skills to pose questions; devise a hypothesis; critically test testing and evaluate evaluating their findings; and communicate communicating their outcomes discoveries to one another. The sessions concludes with a 30 minute self-guided experience of the "From Outback to Outer Space: Woomera 1955-1980" exhibition using closer looking experience cards.
