Designed for students in tertiary education

Learning programs at the State Library are designed to be linked to key learning outcomes and complement the current Australian Curriculum. These programs have been created to connect learners with the rich history, collections, spaces and exhibitions of the State Library of South Australia.

Students will discover the stories of South Australia and the role of the State Library in collecting, preserving and sharing the history of South Australia and develop important life skills or research, inquiry and analysis techniques using a variety of sources.

Beyond the Stage exhibition: self guided experience for schools

Date: 5 March 2018 to 15 June 2018

Location: Meet at Treasures Wall, Level 1 Spence Wing

Note: Free, bookings essential

Our new exhibition Beyond the stage: Aspects of performing arts in South Australia 1914 - 1936 explores the home front during World War One and see the influence the War had on performing arts in South Australia during the conflict, and the two decades that followed.

Suitability: School groups year 3 +
Duration:
60 minutes
Days: Monday to Friday (closed public holidays)
Three sessions per day: 10am, 11.30am & 2pm sessions. Home-schools walk-in after 1pm
Capacity: 30 students maximum

Time: 10 to 11.30am

Location: Meet in the ground floor glass foyer

Note: Free, bookings essential, school groups

Learn more about the Library by choosing components that best suit your class learning requirements.

Suitability: years 8 to 12, Tertiary, TAFE & community groups
Duration:
up to 90 minutes
Days: Monday to Friday
Capacity: up to 30 students/ people
Supervision: 1:15
