Note: Free, bookings essential

Students engaging in Community Learning programs at the State Library

My History is a program that engages learners in examining their personal and family history. This program is facilitated by a Community Learning Educator.

Suitability: Reception to Yr 3
2 hours
Monday - Friday (morning or afternoon sessions)
Class of 30 students maximum
Education Officer

Explore the Library and uncover the way collections reveal stories and memories.

Students design and make archival boxes to capture their own unique stories. Created and facilitated by early years teachers.

Tools and materials will be provided by the State Library of South Australia free of charge.

Curriculum Links

These learning experiences are aligned with the Australian Curriculum, with an emphasis on Humanities and Social Sciences: History, and the historical concepts of significance, continuity and change, place and space. The program is underpinned by Teaching for Effective Learning principles and is facilitated by a Community Learning Educator.
