The program includes: Parliament House, the Migration Museum & the Centre of Democracy.

Explore ways to enrich classroom practice and connect with the Australian Curriculum.

From Submarine to Satellite

From Satellites to Submarines: Teacher PD day 2018

Date: 11 August 2018

Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm

Location: Jervois Room, Mortlock Wing

Note: Free, bookings essential.

Dr Jeanette Dixon AM will take teachers on a journey into space to learn about:

  • The importance of man-made satellites for humans on earth.
  • Researching life in space on the international space station-the largest artificial satellite.
  • Gaining essential knowledge for future manned missions to mars and back to the moon.

Researching Science and Technology @ the State Library of South Australia: Teacher Professional Development

Date: 14 August 2018

Time: 4.30pm to 6pm

Location: Meet in the ground floor glass foyer

Note: Free, bookings essential.

Learn about the ways the State Library of South Australia can assist you and your students undertake science and technology related investigations.

Suitable for: Primary and Secondary school educators
Duration: Session will take 90 minutes
