Take the following steps to make the most of your visit to the Library.

• book a tour
• discuss using the State Library with your class
• discuss the research topics with your students and the types of resources that might be useful
• check whether there is a Fact Sheet relevant to your topic
• involve the school librarian in your students' research projects
• remind your students to bring some identification with them
• allocate sufficient time for your research
• request storage items to be retrieved ahead of your visit
• book internet or electronic database computers for your students to use
• remind students to bring money for photocopying
