Discover the story of the Adelaide Central Market from its beginnings in 1869 and celebrate 150 years of this landmark Adelaide institution in this exciting exhibition.
The exhibition, in partnership with the Adelaide Central Market features collection items from the archives of the Adelaide City Council, the State Library and from the Market traders themselves. See produce carts, scales, signs and original documents dating back to the early 1900s, and learn about Market icons Cheong Liew, Brian McMahon and Chappy Charlesworth.
Awaken your Market memories and experience the sights, smells and sounds of the Market. Don't miss the amazing smell-o-wall, which captures the smells of the Market.
Along with the exhibition, there will be a fun and delicious events program. You can almost taste it!
