State Library of South Australia

Conditions of use

The State Library of South Australia is one of the most heavily used public facilities in the State, and has certain conditions of use to ensure that the reasonable enjoyment of all customers to the Library is not interfered with by others, and to ensure the protection and security of the Library's collections.

The major areas where customers may need to be informed about State Library policies are documented below, within the context of the Libraries Act 1982 and the Libraries Regulations 2013.

Although the Adelaide City Council Library and Community Centre and the Flinders University City Gallery are located in the Spence Wing of the State Library, they are separate facilities and have their own usage conditions.

Questions or comments about these State Library Usage Policies can be referred to Customer Services staff at the Information Desk.
