State Library of South Australia

Maps and geodata

The State Library has a fairly comprehensive collection of maps of South Australia including archival maps showing early exploration, published map series at state, regional, hundred and town level and a wide variety of single sheet maps of every category.

The Map collection also covers all Australian states, the regions of Australasia and Oceania, areas of Europe from which the earliest settlement drew population and areas in which Australia has fought in wars.

Many South Australian maps may be viewed in .pdf format through the Library catalogue. The collection is being progressively digitised.

Find maps in the Library catalogue, select Mapping from the drop-down View entire collection box.
