Selected images relating to Catherine Helen Spence

This is a small selection of 48 images from The State Library of South Australia collections highlighting the life and times and works of Catherine Helen Spence. A number of images are of the South Australian Institute building on North Terrce in Adelaide where Spence used to lecture, and which is now part of the State Library precinct. Others are of the nearby streetscapes, especially Rundle Street and North Terrace. There are several photographs of the Unitarian Church of which Spence was a member.

The source of the majority of these images is the Mortlock Library of South Australiana Pictorial Collection, and the caption includes the identifying B numbers. 80,000 of these images can be viewed on the Mortlock Library South Australiana Database.
