It’s time for a scavenger hunt

Have some fun exploring our new exhibition, Sweet and Savoury: Menus from the collections of the State Library.

Using clues on the back of the bookmark available on the family table, see what you can find on the menus on display in the Treasures Wall cabinets. Menus tell us more than what food is on offer, they hold lots of hidden stories.

Can you see the Mad Hatter or the steamship? You might have to look hard to find the clues.

As you try and find the bookmark clues, make sure you look for the questions on the Treasures Wall and think about what your answer might be.

Next time you see a menu you might think about it a little differently and the hidden stories it tells!
