The Angas Collection is the most significant family archive to be offered to the State Library of South Australia in the last decade. The intangible value of this archive is the complementary value this collection adds to and enhances the existing Angas Collection, which was an acquisition by the State Library as far back as 1937.
Through various donations and purchases from that time until 2009, the existing archive became an important reference to South Australia's history.
The most recent opportunity to add to the collection includes items believed to have been lost. As the custodians of important collections, it is the State Library's responsibility to ensure the Angas Collection is acquired secure and made accessible to everyone. Your donation will assist the State Library in ensuring this collection adds to the rich tapestry of the State's heritage.
You can donate to the dedicated fund in memory of former Director Dr Bronwyn Halliday. In 2015 the State Library received a generous bequest from the estate of Dr Halliday, which is being used to establish a dedicated Learning Centre.
It is the wish of the family that the community adopts her support of the State Library with further donations to enrich the Learning Centre and Programs.
Your donation to the Annual Giving Campaign contributes to ongoing projects and initiatives aligned with the State Library's Strategic Plan.
Our collections are for discovery, researching, learning, and enjoying. Your support is invaluable to us.
Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible.
