We are changing when we deliver requested materials from storage to give you the best service we can within our current resources. To make sure you have the items when you need them, please plan and allow time for collection.
The Library has an extensive collection - some material is available on the shelves to browse, while some is stored onsite and offsite. The catalogue shows if an item is in onsite or offsite storage, and how you can request it.
Examples of items held in storage include South Australiana, periodicals, South Australian newspapers, sheet music, AV material, archival material, and maps.
New retrieval times
From Tuesday 12 March 2024 retrieval times for requested collection materials are:
Onsite retrieval request by:
- 9 for 10am collection
- 11am for 12pm collection
- 2 for 3pm collection.
To access onsite storage materials on:
- the weekend you need to place your request by 2pm on Friday, as there are no weekend retrievals
- Tuesday night you need to place your request by 2pm on Tuesday.
Offsite retrieval request by:
- 9am Monday, available 1pm Monday
- 9am Thursday, available 1pm Thursday
- 9am Thursday for weekend viewing.
