A celebration of 40 years of gay law reform in South Australia
Homosexuality legal in SA

Triggered by the tragic drowning in the River Torrens of law lecturer Dr George Duncan in 1972, legislation was introduced to South Australian Parliament to enact law reform.

Examining these important events, the exhibition places them in the wider historical context of 19th and 20th century attitudes towards homosexual men. Displays include a wide selection of original material and documents, including the original signed 1975 decriminalisation Bill.
