Desart Photography Prize

The Desart Aboriginal Art Workers' Program provides training, mentoring and skill development leading to employment opportunities for Aboriginal art workers across Central Australia.

This exhibition showcases a selection of photographs created by Aboriginal art workers that have been featured in the Desart Photography Prize over the past four years.

Curated by art workers:

  • Marisa Maher - Ngurratjuta Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre
  • Rhonda Plummer - Barkly Regional Arts
  • Rosina Ryder - Keringke ARTS
  • Peter Wallace - Mimili Maku Arts
  • Robert Fielding - Mimili Maku Arts - winner of the prestigious Work on Paper Award at the 2015 Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards.

Presented in partnership with TARNANTHI, Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art.
