Date: 21 April 2015

The State Library of South Australia has developed an exciting new outreach program with generous funding from the State Library of South Australia Foundation.

The new program, Your State Library Adventure, provides an opportunity for schools and organisations to have a State Library experience. This program provides transport and an introduction to our resources and services as well as an informative tour of the building.

Murray Bridge High School, the first group to be part of the program, has no school bus. They were thrilled with the opportunity to visit the State Library and experience the amazing Mortlock Chamber and the value the library can provide to their research projects.

There has also been a flurry of activity in the Education Team as they busily prepare for the influx of excited children visiting the Lynley Dodd: A Retrospective exhibition. We have 3000 children booked in to the Lynley Dodd education program between now and 12 June. Children interact with this unique exhibition through story-time and activities such as feeling different textures and matching colour swatches with artwork.
