Did you know that the State Library subscribes to a variety of eResources that deliver articles, magazines, ebooks, newspapers, encyclopedias and more?

These are available free to all library users in the library, and for South Australian residents with a State Library card, can be used at home or anywhere on your device.

To help you discover more about what these great eResources can be used for we are featuring three for you:

  • Newsbank is a newspaper resource with a large collection of Australian and international titles updated daily. Of special interest to South Australians, Newsbank contains The Advertiser and the Sunday Mail in digital image format, from today’s issue, back to 2020, which can be read in full online, including photos and classifieds.
  • To catch up on all the Stranger Things news, check out the sci-fi and entertainment mags on Pressreader such as SFX and Empire magazines. Pressreader contains thousands of newspapers and magazines from Australia and around the world, in multiple languages.
  • School holidays may be over but there’s still fun to be had using Britannica Library. It delivers trusted and verified information on a wide range of topics for people of all ages. If you need to study Ancient Rome for your school project, Britannica Library may be just what you need. The encylopedia contains articles, images, maps and films.
