South Australian Literary Awards
Held biennially and proudly managed by the State Library of South Australia, the Awards also include awards and fellowships for South Australian writers - highlighting the importance of local storytelling, supporting the literary community, and encouraging public engagement with literature.
Shortlisted authors will be published August 2026.
Deane Miller Fellowship
The Friends of the State Library Deane Miller Fellowship is a new initiative supporting research that leads to the development of original creative work inspired by the State Library of South Australia’s collections.
Applications open 9 June 2026.
History Council of SA Fellowship
The HCSA Fellowship provides support for all Australians researching and writing about South Australian history. The Fellowship is an annual prize of $2,000.
In addition to the prize, the State Library of South Australia will provide space in the library for the Fellowship winner to conduct their research, as well as the use of a computer and up to 10 hours of research support.
