Opening in August 2026 at the State Library of South Australia.
Little Library is designed for kids of all ages and stages to read, talk, sing and play their own way into a lifelong connection with books, libraries and stories.
Backed by Words Grow Minds research into child development, Little Library unites two brilliant services: the State Library of South Australia and Adelaide City Libraries.
Little Library visitors will be able to browse and borrow from a carefully selected range of the best and most-loved children’s books, in a colourful and relaxed environment designed just for them. There will be spots to play, for storytelling, for singing and for lounging about with a stack of books.
This is their library: a uniquely South Australian place that welcomes everyone. Even grown-ups, provided they are supervised by their kids.
