Join us for an opening weekend of celebrations on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August.

A whole world made just for kids; Little Library is joyfully designed to be child-led. It is an interactive space where stories hide in unexpected places, curiosity is always welcome and imaginations can wander, wonder and discover something new.

For the opening weekend, visits to Little Library are by timed-entry booking, so every family has space to explore, play and discover. Entry bookings are unfortunately fully booked; however, there is still plenty to see and do throughout the State Library across the weekend.

Across both days, the rest of the State Library will be buzzing with free drop-in activities for families. Follow the fun throughout the State Library with stories to stumble upon, games to play, things to make, places to dance and plenty of surprises around the corner.

Come along and enjoy a fun family day out at the State Library this weekend.

Little Library opening hours from Monday 24 August

If you miss out on exploring Little Library during the Opening Weekend festivities, don't worry. Little Library will be open daily following the celebrations.

  • Monday to Friday: 10am to 6pm
  • Saturday: 10am to 5pm
  • Sunday: 12pm to 5pm
