The State Library of South Australia has raised $979.65 for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation through this year’s Great Book Swap.
Thanks to the generosity of our library community, including staff and friends from the State Library, City Library of Adelaide and Raising Literacy Australia, the funds raised will help support the ILF’s work to provide new, culturally relevant books to children and families in remote Indigenous communities across Australia.
From purchasing a pre-loved book to making a gold coin donation or sharing the campaign with friends and family, every contribution helped turn a love of reading into an opportunity to make a difference.
The amount raised is equivalent to around 98 books, helping support the Indigenous Literacy Foundation’s vision of improving access to quality books and fostering a love of reading among children in remote Indigenous communities.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the Great Book Swap and helped make the campaign a success.
You can still support the Great Book Swap by making an online donation through the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
